East Central Regional Rail Trail

Volusia County completed the first leg of the East Central Regional Rail Trail in 2012. The 12 feet wide and paved MUP trail begins at Green Springs Park and travels southeast 5.7 miles to State Road 415 in Osteen. The trail occupies an abandoned rail corridor, which Florida purchased and leased to Volusia and Brevard counties for the express purpose of developing a trail. The move represents the longest rail-trail conversion in the state. When complete, the rail-trail will extend more than 52 miles between Enterprise and Edgewater, including a 10-mile leg to Titusville.
